The ''Utrecht Journal of International and European Law'' is a biannual open access peer-reviewed law journal covering international and European law. It is affiliated with Utrecht University and Urios. Each issue covers a specific theme chosen by the editorial board. The journal is edited by students and applies double blind peer review. The journal was established in 1981 as a student magazine titled ''Merkourios'', containing summaries of study-trips, conferences, and other issues related to Urios, the association for international and European law. Until 2011, the journal was published 73 times, evolving from a student-magazine into a formal law journal run by members of Urios. This development was finalized in 2009, when peer review was put in place. The current editor-in-chief is Benjamin Thompson. The journal obtained its current name in 2013. == External links==
